A recent job we started off the new year with a favorites engine to tune, A VAG 2.0 TDI 177bhp engine.
Given it was in a quattro drivetrain, we always electronically delete the EGR system anyway, but upon arrival, engine light decided to stay illuminated.
Using Snap on Diagnostics we were quickly able to show that the EGR was actually at fault. But we also had to check the DPF soot content too.
Test drive before and after completed, we set to work to increase power and remove EGR from the ECU.
