A recent job we had come in was a BMW X1 20d with 188bhp.
Any BMW with Idrive we prefer to remove ecu to bench tune, far safer, given amount of electronics on later vehicles.
ECU location is normally next to battery, same platform as the Mini Countryman too.
Customer was after more economy with the tune, but as part of that, flat spots were also reduced for when pulling out of junctions or going for for over takes.
