Another week another Range Rover
This time we had a lovely 3.0 TDV6 in for a tune up to help with towing a twin axle caravan.
Stock power 241bhp and 443 lb ft
Tuned :
305bhp and 510 lb ft
MPG improvement of at least 11% too
Now there\’s a lot of stories on line about these engines snapping cranks, luck of the draw etc..
One bit of maintenance we highly recommend two things, firstly, for a gearbox flush/oil and filter change. Secondly very regular oil changes and where required oil pipe feed mod too.
These vehicles need a lot of love and extra care.
As always a full health check done before and after along with prior and post test drives too. ensuring no signs of smoke, juddering, vibration etc….
If we find anything wrong or we are not happy with prior to a remap, our rule is simple, WE WONT TUNE IT!!
