Tuning Emporium have lost count of the number of TDV8 egr deletes we have done 🙂
This is bread and butter to us, and can probably do these blind fold now.
This week we had two in for some our tuning and some TLC.

P140A is a very popular fault code we see relating to EGR failure on TDV8 engines.

We mechanically blank these valves, and close them in the ECU to stop any future fault codes, whilst increasing the BHP and NM of these engines.
Benefits of blanking the EGR’S include:
- Turbo/s spool up quicker at lower RPM
- prevents carbon build up in manifold and turbo
- smoother engine and better mpg
- cleaner engine oil
- Longer life of turbo (with regular servicing) as less carbon build up in them.
As part of the remapping process Tuning Emporium increase the power as follows:
standard power 268/272bhp and 640nm
tuned to:
305bhp and 740nm.
MPG improvement of at least 10% too, we have heard back from customers getting nearly 20% better MPG on a long run too.
But for a little more though, some customers have been going for our back box delete too, which not only saves you carrying around 25kg of needles weight, but dramatically improves pick up of these vehicles, especially the 40mph to 70mph. Turbo spool up time is reduced significantly.
Cost is £399 supply and fit for theses exhaust upgrades:

For a sound check on these, see here:
These back boxes are available for all L322 models from 2002 to 2012. We have designed to be discreet and tucked up out of harms way should you venture off road. People will think your TDV8 is a petrol V8 🙂
